Education

Museum educational workshops are available for groups in the following institutes:

  • Technical Study Stores
  • Museum of Electrical Engineering
  • Ábrahám Ganz Foundry Collection
  • Metallurgical Collection

Connecting to the collections and exhibitions of The Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport our museum education workshops look into the future while gaining inspiration from the solutions of the past – its means of transport and inventions – while also drawing a parallel between today’s environment and capacities.

We represent fundamental values such as social responsibility, conscious mentality, environmental protection, environmental-consciousness, and sustainable development. Our workshops apply experience-based educational methodologies which give a helping hand to process the material presented at our exhibitions, while organically relating to the National Curriculum and the National Core Programme of Pre-primary Education. While planning, preparing, and conducting our workshops we co-operate with teachers, colleagues, other museum-related institutions, external professionals, and artists as well.

We lay great emphasis on stimulating the participants of our workshops – based on their specific age group – to acquire a conscious, planning frame of mind, flexibility, openness, and propensity to creative work. In our diverse selection of programmes we endeavour to realise events where the whole family may participate actively as well. We assemble the tasks of our workshop in a way that they affect multiple senses, and offer practical, up-to-date knowledge. We encourage groups and families visiting our museum's educational programmes to experience the values inherent in joint thinking.
