Permanent Exhibition of the Museum of Electrical Engineering

Within the framework of the permanent exhibition in the Museum of Electric Engineering visitors can follow the history of Hungarian electric power industry through outstanding products which have proven their excellence on the international scene as well.

Our permanent exhibitions present the curiosities of electrification and electronics, room by room, in the Kazinczy-street building of the museum.

Visitors can get acquainted with the pioneering work of Hungary in the field of railway electrification, lighting technology, and transformer manufactoring, while we can see a selection of special and designed electrical household utensils and lighting technological tools of our everyday lives. Contemplating the exhibition, a comprehensive picture can be gained of the Hungarian and international history of electrical engineering. The inner courtyard of the building hosts our “Neonparade” exhibition which creates a nostalgic atmosphere every night with its cosily lighted figures recalling the iconic emblems and figures of Hungarian past.
